School Bus Plunges Off Overpass in Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (AP) -- A school bus carrying about 20 high school students plunged 30 feet off an interstate Monday and overturned, injuring an undetermined number of people, authorities said.

The bus ended up below the I-565 overpass.

Seeder's Note: The most recent on this from watching CNN is that there are two confirmed student fatalities and that 23 students were transported to the hospital - some with life threatening injuries. There were 34 students and the driver on board. There aren't many details at this point - but the driver did survive the crash, so we may know the cause of the crash soon.

This is just so horrible. My thoughts are going out to the students and families in Huntsville. I hope that the injured students are receiving medical attention and that no more lives will be lost today.
